Toshiba has today announced the launch of its new stylish Toshiba Satellite M500 notebook in India which is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6500 and it features integrated 3G broadband connectivity, LED backlit keyboard and sports 14.1-inch widescreen display.

Sporting an ultra-lightweight Glossy Mercury Silver Chasis with light gray color IMR Finish, the new Toshiba Satellite M500 series notebook is powered by 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6500, with 2-MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB and it features Intel 965GM Express Chipset motherboard, 4-GB of DDR2 (667 MHz) SDRAM (max 4-GB in 2 slots).

Toshiba Satellite M500 also features a 320-GB of Serial ATA (SATA) 5400 rpm 2.5-inch hard drive powered by a new 3D Motion Sensor with shock absorber technology to shut it off in case of free fall, and internal 8x DVD SuperMulti Double Layer writer 8.5 GB capacity (DVD-RW/RAM).

The new Toshiba Satellite M500 notebook PC is equipped with 14.1-inch (35.8 cm) WXGA 200NIT Hi-bright Clear Superview TFT Widescreen Display (HBCSV) display powered by Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA 4500MHD graphics chipset with upto 1759 MB of shared video memory, capable of rendering upto 1366 x 768 pixels screen resolution.

Weighing about 2.26 Kgs without battery pack, the new Toshiba Satellite M500 notebook PC is 3G WiFi ready as it features integrated Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN (802.11a/g/n) Wireless LAN connection, and it also offers integrated Bluetooth v2.1+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) connection for wireless connectivity which offers upto three times the bandwidth of conventional Bluetooth protocols.

The Satellite M500 notebook also sports a 6-in-1 Bridge Media Slot which is capable of supporting SD Media, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Multimedia Card, XD-Picture Cards.

The Toshiba Satellite M500 notebook also offers a enhanced touchpad with multi-touch controls, that provides more freedom including the ability to pinch, swipe, rotate or scroll through images on the display with a brush of your fingers.
